Why I’m Liking P90X
Eliza and I are in our 3rd week of P90X, and we’re still going strong!
I am really liking P90X for a number of reasons. Firstly, I think the best thing about it is the convenience of getting an awesome workout at any time without having to leave our home. As I’ve said before, I have never enjoyed working out in the gym. Some people like going to the gym to work out, but not me. I don’t like the time it takes to get dressed, drive over there, put your stuff in a locker, and go to the weight room hoping it’s not too crowded. Also, being a skinny guy, I tend to feel a little (or maybe more than a little) self-conscious working out in a public setting. Not to mention a few months’ of gym fees would pay for P90X, which you can use as many times as you want!
I think the other great thing about P90X is that I know that I’m getting an excellent, full-body workout! It’s very hard, and I’m typically sore the next day, but I know it’s making my body more fit and healthy. It’s improving my strength, my cardio, and my flexibility (I could actually come close to touching my toes the other day!).
P90X is a tough journey, and Eliza and I still have a long way to go, but I’m convinced it’s well worth it!

P90X – Week 2
Eliza and I finished Week 1 of P90X! It was hard, and there were days where we definitely didn’t feel like doing it, but it feels good knowing we stuck through it. And I’m hoping that it will only get easier as the weeks go on!
Day 1
Eliza and I completed our first day of P90X yesterday. It was chest and back, then Ab Ripper X. It was hard, but not nearly as painful and boring as I thought it would be. Much of that was because Eliza and I were doing it together. Much like running with a partner, I noticed that doing P90X with Eliza made it easier and more enjoyable. I also think the mutual accountability will help us stay on track. In a little while we’ll be doing Plyometrics (AKA “The Beast”). Bring it!
